New Art Journal

I just started a new art journal, I am always happy and excited whenever I start a new journal.  Like a kid with a new toy, I can't wait to play in it everyday : )  Here are a few pages I have done.

Just a few more finished pages from the journal I made inspired by Kelly Kilmer online class, the class was wonderful, this is the first time I used collage instead of paint in a journal and it is so easy and lots of fun.

Finally here

So glad to finally receive the Smash books, they are really cool, I know I will have lots of fun with them, I have kept two for me and the others are for the girls, they have already started filling them.  Such fun!!!  Once I finish the collage journal I will start playing in them : )  The week is flying by so fast, can't believe next week is Thanksgiving, looking forward to getting together with the family,  I have so much to be thankful for this year.  Can't wait till next week, the girls will be off for the entire week from school, we plan on doing lots of baking and getting things ready for next thursday.  Well I'm off to have my morning brew now, hope everyone has a great day.

I can't believe it's Friday again, where do the days go?  Time to do laundry again, blchhh, my least favorite thing to do.  I have been baking alot this week, I love freshly baked warm muffins in the morning with my coffee.  I think I will bake a cheesecake later today :) my sons favorite.  Excited cause I received some new journals in the mail yesterday, a handmade one from Etsy and an Exacompta, I can't wait to start working in them, new journals always make me happy!!!

Feeling overwhelmed

 I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed this week, I am so behind on house chores, I have so much to do but I can't seem to catch up.  There is always so much to do and between cooking, cleaning and laundry, I haven't been able to get to the bigger stuff like cleaning and organizing the gameroom/craftroom.  And I haven't been able to throughly straighten out the laundry room.  Of course with a four month old I shouldn't expect to do everything as I did it before, but I get stressed when things are not as I think they should be.  I haven't had anytime to work in my art journal this week, and that is the one thing that helps me relax.  I really need to make some time for it today, I always feel so much happier when I do. On a good note I finally got my new stove and oven and that makes me VERY happy, I was finally able to do some baking and that was great!

Been very busy

I have not posted anything in a while, been very busy with Sophia, but I have managed to squeeze in some journaling here and there.  Any spare time that I have I try to work in the art journals, yes I have more then one started right now.  I have slowing been bringing my art supplies and journals downstairs, I have ended up working on the kitchen table now, I do have all that space upstairs in the "gameroom" but it seems I have a better chance of working on my art stuff downstairs.  My journal is my escape, if I am stressed or upset it makes me calm and relaxes me, I just love to feel creative, and these journals is where I "dump" it all.

Here are just a couple of pages from one of my art journals, I wish I had more time to work in them, I have alot of ideas brewing in my head, but with Sophie being three months now, I really don't have much time.  Whenever I can steal a moment in my busy day this is what I love to do, it's just me being "me".  Today I didn't have much time to do much of anything, Sophie seemed to want my undivided attention most of the day, I don't mind of course, I feel blessed that I can stay home and spend my time with her, they grow up so fast, I just want to enjoy this special time.  This is all for now, now I am off to make a late dinner.
