September Daydream Cocoa Daisy kits unboxing video

Hi everyone! I received my September Cocoa Daisy kits a few weeks ago and decided I'd just go for it and do an unboxing video.  The kits are so amazing and I had so much fun getting crafty this month.  I received the Main kit and the Ditl kit this month along with some add ons that I selected.  Honestly everything is so yummy this month that I wanted it all!!

This is my first video and its a lot harder than I thought to film a video while opening my kits all while remaining calm and finding something intelligent to say,  ha!ha! Well at least you'll get a good laugh while looking at all the pretty things available in September from Cocoa Daisy.  Enjoy!!  And thank you for watching.

And don't forget to visit the design team Daydream September gallery for some major inspiration!

A mini-album

Hi everyone! I'm back today sharing a mini album I made using June Cocoa Daisy kits. I had some free time yesterday morning (my three year old slept in) and I decided I needed to get creative!

If you are like me and take about a million pictures every week, well then you know how it is to print out more pictures then you need. I always have a few photos that don't make it into my Project Life spreads, I usually just keep them in a pile somewhere collecting dust. I decided to take a few that had something in common and make an album. I take a ton of pics of my drinks so I decided to use those.

Everything I used is from Cocoa Daisy June kits, everything except the cute bunny stamp. "Simon" is also from Cocoa Daisy but he wasn't part of the June kit, but he is too adorable not to include and I think he looks perfect on the cover of my mini.

And here are the pages from in side my album. Such a fun and easy project to do!! I hope you've enjoyed it!

Thank you so much for visiting!

My Project Life process

Hi I'm back today to share my project life process with you. I've been doing this project for about four years now and I'm still enjoying it very much. I'm really not caught up this year but I'm not letting that bother me too much,  I'll just keep documenting and getting it in my album at my own pace.

These days I'm taking most of my pictures with my iPhone 6,  I try to use my big camera whenever possible but it's just so much more convenient to use my phone  because I always have it with me.
I print my pictures at home on my Epson artisan 730 printer that i've had for about 4 years now.   I use OfficeMax 4 x 6 photo paper,  I prefer matte but will settle for semi gloss whenever matte isn't available.
The first thing I do is go through my pictures and decide which ones I want to include in that weeks spread once I decide I edit them if necessary using the pic tap go app on my phone,  I usually just make them brighter,  my printer has Wi-Fi so I can print directly from my phone.
If I want to change the size of the pictures to say a 3 x 4 or into 2x2 or 4x4 squares I use the pic frame app.

I open the app and choose 3:2 size which will give me a 4 x 6 photo when I print,  next I decide what layout I want then add the pictures. After that I save them at the highest resolution to my camera roll now I'm ready to print them super easy. If I've used my Nikon camera during the week I  download the pictures that I want to use into my computer and use Photoshop to edit them or resize and print from there.

Next thing I do is set up pictures in the order I want, I usually round the corners on my pictures but every once in a while I'm a rebel and leave them square.
Now comes the fun part which is choosing the journal cards cards that I want to use,  sometimes I know exactly what I want and it takes me five or ten minutes to pull it all together,  other times I can't make up my mind and the process takes forever.   After that I add the journaling and some embellishments, pop them in the album and it's done!

I use Momento app to keep track of what happened during the week my planner is also a very useful resource to remember what took place each day.
I hope you've enjoyed this post if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment and Thank you for stopping by!

Project Life 2015 Week 16

Hi I'm back to share a Project Life spread today, week 16 to be exact, I really need to do some catching up but I'm not going to get stressed about it, I'll just fill in the gaps when ever I have a chance.

This week was all about pancakes, frappuccinos, favorite sandwiches, tulips, beautiful weather and road trips on the weekend.  Pretty much a perfect week. I used the Studio Calico Project Life kit and acrylic and wood veneer by Color Cast Designs. I had a lot of fun with it and included more journaling than usual.

I used the Hello and Spring acrylics from Color Cast Designs Bloom set and the two hearts are from her Basically Basics set, I adhered them with a bit of glue on a transparency sheet I cut down to fit in the 3x4 pocket, I love having a see thru pocket and those glitter acrylic are simply stunning.  The hashtag hungry wood veneer is from the Foodie set also by Color Cast Designs, that is one of my favorite sets by Jessica, perfect for all those pictures I take of food! The gold heart and the wood leaf are from one of the add on kits by Studio Calico I can't remember the name right now and the orange heart is from my Messy Box kit.

Thank you for looking and if you have any questions please ask and I'll try my very best to answer.  Have an awesome weekend!
